What's your favorite Disney recipe?
Mine is:
VEGETARIAN SANDWICH Fresh Mozzarella, Hummus, Basil Pesto, Cucumber, Roasted Red Pepper, Tomato, and Lettuce on Freshly Baked Focaccia
From the Plaza Restaurant on Main Street in the The Magic Kingdom.
I have found that the Basil Pesto is easy enough to make fresh, it's even easier to buy the tube in the vegetable section. You can also find the roasted red pepper in the canned vegetable isle. The sandwich is easy to prepare and delicious!

I really like hot dogs. I know it's not gourmet. I was very surprised by the spicy relish at Casey's Corner. Nowhere else in the park has the spicy relish, and it must be a regional thing because I don't typically get that kind of relish at home.
It was spicy. But it was pretty good.
Favorite recipe: spicy relish.
Note of my opinion on food generally: Almost everywhere at Disney, the food is "average", and the recipe is one that I've generally encountered before and doesn't really stand out.
But I was really surprised when I "discovered" this relish I had not encountered before even though I visit WDW fairly regularly.

I LOVE the beignets in Port Orleans French Quarter - they are so light and yummy - I have a recipes for them but I cannot duplicate theirs. I also purchased a box mix and it still wasn't the same - when I had questioned one of the guys working behind the counter - he told me it was the oil they fry them in but he couldn't tell me what kind it was! Oh well - it keeps me going back that's for sure!

Crazy for Disney! I'd live there if they'd let me!

The Nine Dragon's Honey Sesame Chicken is really good. I admit it could have just been the fact that everything was perfect about my lunch there, but the food really tasted good.
Yield 4 servings
10 to 12 ounces chicken ::FILTERED::, cut into cubes
Marinade:
1 tsp chicken base (not bouillon; base is a pastelike mixture available in gourmet or larger supermarkets)
Dash of white pepper
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
tsp cooking wine
tsp sesame oil
Garnishes:
Toasted white sesame seeds
Chopped green onions
Batter:
cup all-purpose flour
cup cornstarch
1 heaping tsp baking powder
of a beaten egg
2 tbsp oil
2/3 cup water
Pinch of salt
Honey Sauce:
1/8 cup, plus 1 tbsp honey
cup sugar
1/8 cup ketchup
1 tbsp white vinegar
Method:
1. Combine marinade ingredients and let cubed chicken soak in liquid for 30 minutes.
2. Combine batter ingredients. Set aside.
3. Combine sauce ingredients. Set aside.
4. Heat cooking oil for frying, about 320 F. Using tongs, dip marinated chicken into batter and deep fry.
5. Heat honey sauce in a large wok. Turn off heat. Add chicken pieces and toss to coat. Place chicken in green onions and sesame seeds.
