Tapping into the desire of Americans to take longer vacations, the
Walt Disney World® Resort has
re-engineered its ticket lineup to offer increasing savings for
vacationers eager to spend more time in the theme
parks. The new Magic Your Way Tickets launch Jan. 2, 2005, and
feature significant vacation value and increased savings with each day
you add.
The new ticket product centers around the Magic Your Way Base
Ticket, a ticket offering admission to any one of the four Walt Disney
World® theme parks for each day
of the pass and available in 1- to 7-day increments. The per-day cost of the
pass is reduced with each day that's added, so that a 7-day ticket averages
less than $29 per day for ages 10 and up - or less than half the price of a
single-day ticket ($59.75).
A roster of options can be added to the Magic Your Way Base
Ticket - like park hopping or water park visits - enabling
you to select, and pay for, only the features they
want. These new options and increased flexibility allow travel counselors to
better design vacations that meet your specific
needs and budget.
Vactioneers that have already purchased Disney
Park Hopper passes or booked
a 2005 vacation package with other ticket types can still use those tickets
for their vacation, or they may elect to change their tickets to the new
Magic Your Way Tickets by simply paying the difference (no refunds will
be issued if the new ticket is of lesser value).
Park Hopper Option
For the first time, Park Hopper® is now an optional feature for Walt Disney World®
Passes. The Park Hopper®
Option allows you to come and go as they
please through all four Walt Disney World® theme
parks on the same day for each day of their pass. This option can be added
to the entire length of a Magic Your Way Base Ticket for just $35 -
whether it's a 1-day or 7-day ticket.
Water Park &More (A.K.A. Magic Plus Pack) Option
The Magic Plus Pack Option is a great recommendation for
those looking to experience Disney fun beyond the
theme parks. Similar to the "Plus" feature previously available on 5-, 6-
and 7-day Park Hoppers, the Magic Plus Pack Option can be added to
the Magic Your Way Base Ticket to provide admission to water parks
and other popular fun spots like Downtown Disney Pleasure Island,
DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme
Park and Disney's Wide World of Sports®
Complex (some events require separate admission). The Magic Plus Pack
Option can be added to any ticket for $45, and the number of Plus
visits varies with the length of the ticket purchased.
No Expiration Option
Because the Magic Your Way Tickets expire 14 days after first
use, some may be interested in adding the No Expiration Option, a
feature that allows unused days and Plus visits to be used at a later time,
or on a future visit. The price of this option is based on a sliding scale -
from $10 for 2- and 3-day passes to $55 for a 7-day pass.
Magic Your Way with Park Hopper PLUS Water Parks & More (A.K.A. Premium) Ticket
The Park Hopper® and
Magic Plus Pack Options can be combined and added to the Magic Your
Way Base Ticket to create the new Magic Your Way Premium
Ticket. The No Expiration Option can also be added to this ticket.
Florida Resident Tickets
People who reside in the Sunshine State have
several new options to present in 2005. The new Florida Resident 3-Day Play
Pass offers three days of theme park admission for the price of a regularly
priced two-day ticket, so the third day is free! And Floridia Residents can
add the Park Hopper® Option,
Magic Plus Pack Option, and the No Expiration Option. That
same pricing scale is also available for multi-day ticket lengths of 4-days
and more - so Florida Residents can purchase a 5-day Magic Your Way
Base Ticket for the gate price of the 4-day Magic Your Way Base
Ticket, and a 6-day for the price of a 5-day.

FAQ
What's the deal with FASTPASS?Talk about losing wait and having more fun: Walt
Disney World studies indicate that guests using
Disney's FASTPASS are experiencing approximately
25 percent more rides and attractions during
their theme park visit.
Disney's FASTPASS is a computerized system
that gives guests an alternative to standard
"lines" at many popular attractions in all four
Walt Disney World theme parks.
According to Disney surveys, FASTPASS "wait
loss" is freeing up an average of one-and-a-half
to two hours for guests who use the innovative,
patented system on multiple attractions.
Since the debut of Disney's FASTPASS in
summer 1999, the revolutionary system has been
expanded to include 25 attractions -- at least
five in each of the four Walt Disney World theme
parks. At FASTPASS attractions, guests can
choose the regular wait line or put any valid
theme park ticket into a special machine and
receive a FASTPASS ticket denoting a one-hour
window of time when they can return and enter
the attraction with little or no wait.
In 2001, Disney's FASTPASS earned a Themed
Entertainment Association "Thea Award" for
Breakthrough Innovation. Earlier, the Florida
Engineering Society honored Disney's FASTPASS
for its ingenuity and innovation by bestowing it
the 2000 Governor's New Product Award.
Currently, Disney's FASTPASS is offered on
the following Walt Disney World attractions:
- Magic Kingdom: Splash Mountain,
Space Mountain, Jungle Cruise, The Many
Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Buzz
Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, The Haunted
Mansion, Peter Pan's Flight, Big Thunder
Mountain Railroad; "Mickey's PhilharMagic"
- Epcot: Test Track, "Honey, I
Shrunk the Audience," Living with the Land,
Maelstrom, Mission: SPACE
- DDisney's Hollywood Studios: Rock 'n'
Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, The
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™, Star Tours,
"Voyage of the Little Mermaid," "Indiana
Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!" "Who Wants To
Be A Millionaire-Play It!"
- Disney's Animal Kingdom:
DINOSAUR, Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro
Safaris, "It's Tough to be a Bug," Primeval
Whirl
FASTPASS, Step-By-Step
Disney's FASTPASS is a revolutionary guest
enhancement at Walt Disney World Resort enabling
guests to have an alternative to waiting in
lines for many of the most-popular attractions.
There is no additional charge to use the
FASTPASS service. Here's how it works:
1. Ticketed guest or annual passholder
enters the park main entrance gate.
2. Guest visits any attraction offering
the FASTPASS service. Here, guest has the
option of waiting in the regular standby
line or choosing FASTPASS. To assist,
there's a digital clock denoting regular
wait time and the return time for FASTPASS.
3. If the FASTPASS option is chosen, a
guest inserts his or her theme park ticket
into the FASTPASS machine. Out comes the
FASTPASS denoting when to return to the
attraction. Holders of FASTPASS are given a
one-hour window for their return -- for
example, 10:05-11:05 a.m. That means the
guest cannot enter the attraction using
FASTPASS before 10:05 but is free to return
at any time during the designated one-hour
window.
4. Upon returning at the designated time,
the guest heads straight for the FASTPASS
entrance and proceeds directly to the
attraction pre-show or boarding area with
little or no wait.
5. Guests are able to get several
FASTPASS tickets during a day in the Disney
theme parks. However, they cannot
immediately obtain multiple FASTPASS
tickets. How often can they get one? While
the answer varies, it is printed on the
guest’s current FASTPASS ticket.
