I know they are not budget resorts but don't forget about Gaylord Palms and the Nickelodeon Hotel.

mousemomma created a new topic off site resorts in the forum. We are planning two trips, one in August and a second in December for the holidays. In December we will be driving so are considering an off-site resort to cut down on some costs, that being said, does anyone have any reconmendations on good resorts, maybe that include breakfast. I think that Lake Beuna Vista is the best location, near downtown, correct??? So many questions, thanks for any help.

Michael created a new topic Plan a trip in 1985 in the forum.Could you plan a Disney World vacation in 1985? My friend Peter Jankowsky recently gave me an envelope full of old guide maps and other materials which I've scanned and are in the vintage Disney World section. While I was scanning this stuff I thought it might be fun to plan a vacation only based on what was around in 1985, have a look at this 1985 Disney World Vacation Information. I've opened that folder up so that everyone can view the full size photo so you can read the text although you may need to increase the size of your browser to a clear view of the text. Peter pointed out a show that I have never heard of, Broadway at the Top which was only $7.50 and was at the Contemporary. There is a bunch of nostalgia in those folders! I

Michael created a new topic View from my roof in the forum. This is probably not post worthy but what the heck. My pool has been getting dirty almost over night and it's screened in so when I realized it always gets really bad after it rains I decided to check my gutters, sure enough, totally clogged but I got an even bigger shock when I went back to the ladder on the other side of roof, I can clearly see the Contemporary from my roof. I thought that can't be right but when I looked closer I can see many land marks all with the naked eye. My home is on a hill (well, that isn't saying much for Florida) but it was still shocking... I hear the fireworks every night but never even thought we could also see them. So, off to the store to buy a better latter. I wonder hard it would be to add a party deck? I will also be needed a better zoom lens

Michael replied to the topic Re: Cast Yourself In Carbonite in the forum. Not to sound like a downer but is this the same thing you can have done at the glass in Magic Kingdom? $100 isn't a bad price, there will be a line.

I WANT ONE!
Knowing that these minatures have a hefty price tag, is the parade one big miniature or do you buy each minature separately and add to your Main Street USA? And what do you think the cost would be?

Kim_BigWishTravels created a new topic Cast Yourself In Carbonite in the forum.WOW! What won't people think of?
During Star Wars weekends at Hollywood Studios, starting May 18, 2012, through June 10, 2012 you can step into the “Carbon Freezing Chamber” and have an 8-inch figurine created of yourself “frozen in carbonite.”
You don't actually step into a chamber, but you do get a 3D scan of your face and the body of Han Solo. Well who wouldn't want that?
According to Star Wars News, the Carbon Freeze Me experience allows guests of the theme park to “relive the famous carbon freezing scene from The Empire Strikes Back.” The 2012 Star Wars Weekends are every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 18 to June 10, 2012.
I'm thinking I would rather spend $100 on pin trading, but for many of you Star Wars fans I'm sure this is a great deal and worth the experience!
