| Disney World Tickets Explained: |
Tapping into the desire of Americans to take longer vacations, the Walt Disney World Resort has re-engineered its ticket lineup to offer increasing savings for vacationers eager to spend more time in the theme parks. The new Magic Your Way Tickets launch Jan. 2, 2005, and feature significant vacation value and increased savings with each day you add. The new ticket product centers around the Magic Your Way Base Ticket, a ticket offering admission to any one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks for each day of the pass and available in 1- to 7-day increments. The per-day cost of the pass is reduced with each day that's added, so that a 7-day ticket averages less than $29 per day for ages 10 and up - or less than half the price of a single-day ticket ($59.75). A roster of options can be added to the Magic Your Way Base Ticket - like park hopping or water park visits - enabling you to select, and pay for, only the features they want. These new options and increased flexibility allow travel counselors to better design vacations that meet your specific needs and budget.
Vactioneers that have already purchased Disney Park Hopper passes or booked a 2005 vacation package with other ticket types can still use those tickets for their vacation, or they may elect to change their tickets to the new Magic Your Way Tickets by simply paying the difference (no refunds will be issued if the new ticket is of lesser value).
For the first time, Park Hopper is now an optional feature for Walt Disney World® Passes. The Park Hopper Option allows you to come and go as they please through all four Walt Disney World® theme parks on the same day for each day of their pass. This option can be added to the entire length of a Magic Your Way Base Ticket for just $35 - whether it's a 1-day or 7-day ticket. Water Park &More (A.K.A. Magic Plus Pack) Option
The Magic Plus Pack Option is a great recommendation for those looking to experience Disney fun beyond the theme parks. Similar to the "Plus" feature previously available on 5-, 6- and 7-day Park Hoppers, the Magic Plus Pack Option can be added to the Magic Your Way Base Ticket to provide admission to water parks and other popular fun spots like Downtown Disney Pleasure Island, DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park and Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex (some events require separate admission). The Magic Plus Pack Option can be added to any ticket for $45, and the number of Plus visits varies with the length of the ticket purchased. No Expiration Option Because the Magic Your Way Tickets expire 14 days after first use, some may be interested in adding the No Expiration Option, a feature that allows unused days and Plus visits to be used at a later time, or on a future visit. The price of this option is based on a sliding scale - from $10 for 2- and 3-day passes to $55 for a 7-day pass. Magic Your Way with Park Hopper PLUS Water Parks & More (A.K.A. Premium) Ticket
The Park Hopper and Magic Plus Pack Options can be combined and added to the Magic Your Way Base Ticket to create the new Magic Your Way Premium Ticket. The No Expiration Option can also be added to this ticket. Florida Resident Tickets People who reside in the Sunshine State have several new options to present in 2005. The new Florida Resident 3-Day Play Pass offers three days of theme park admission for the price of a regularly priced two-day ticket, so the third day is free! And Floridia Residents can add the Park Hopper Option, Magic Plus Pack Option, and the No Expiration Option. That same pricing scale is also available for multi-day ticket lengths of 4-days and more - so Florida Residents can purchase a 5-day Magic Your Way Base Ticket for the gate price of the 4-day Magic Your Way Base Ticket, and a 6-day for the price of a 5-day. |
