Disney World Resort will introduce a new blend of magic as Senses - A Disney Spa debuts at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
The journey begins at booking and treatment selections. Each treatment is guided by one of the spa’s core themes - relax, renew or imagine - which will create a custom experience. Depending on the selection, one will be offered a different flavor of a soothing fruit elixir or will notice a change in colored lighting in the treatment space that reinforces the theme elements.
Those looking to relax might choose a citrus and mint hydrating body treatment or a coconut age-corrective facial, among many other offerings. If you’re looking to renew, consider treating yourself to a sugar-exfoliation body treatment or a rejuvenating citrus facial. For those who want to imagine, try an energizing pedicure with ginger.
Spa packages and special treatments such as Magical Manicures and Princess Pedicures are offered for younger Guests ages 4 to 12.
The facility has been completely redesigned with Victorian elegance and modern touches. Walt Disney Imagineering created an atmosphere with original murals, glass mosaics and subtle storytelling throughout. The spa will feature 15 treatment rooms as well as steam rooms, whirlpools, lounges and a manicure and pedicure area.
This new experience is part of a resort transition to Disney-owned and -operated spas, salons and fitness centers that will continue to other areas through January 2013. The Spa at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort will close for refurbishment in January with plans to reopen in the summer as Senses - A Disney Spa at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. A new team of Cast Members will join the resort’s salons and fitness centers by mid-January, and many of our salons and fitness centers will receive enhancements.
