When is the best time to visit Disney World? (1/1)

Miranda has written another "make it easy" guide, we are trying to eventualy compile a "quick start guide" to Disney World. Here is the next installment, When is the best time to visit Disney World

Last year we took 5 children ages 7-20 the last week of August. We walked on the majority of rides with less than a 5 minute wait. It was amazing, we are trying again this year from August 24- September 4th, we are on the free dining plan and hoping for short lines. I will keep you posted.

Great time to visit, kids are back in school and the parks clear out.

We visit each year the week of labor day. It's my wife's birth week. We see the 'last weekend' activity, then on labor day Monday the AKL lobby is buzzing with folks checking out. Then on Tuesday, it's not deserted but really thinned out. Even though most schools have started, we are surprised each year how many school age kids are still in the parks. Maybe they are home schooled, or just decided to start a few days late, or....

We usually go in early June, beginning of hurricane season, but we did go the first week of December last year. I highly recommend that time. Get to see all the Christmas decorations before it get's busy. Of course we are HUGE Halloween fans but have not been there for that yet. Looking forward to Halloween this year!
