Fort Wilderness, to rent a golf cart or not? (4/8)

TOPIC: Fort Wilderness, to rent a golf cart or not?

I started thinking about it last night. I think I know why the price point is so high.

1) because they can get that much for them!
2) if they were cheap, there would be more of them.

Kind of like supply and demand meets crowd control.

True, but the price is pretty much in line with other items to rent. Strollers are $10/day, Rascals are $30/day, etc.

Rascals (the ECM?) are only $30? I thought they were $60.

Ok, well I may be pulling old prices out then. If that is the case then $54 sounds pretty reasonable. I think the first trip to the pool or the marina will pay for it when you drive by the bus stop and see the droves of people waiting there. Of course, I am talking about peak times. The bus might not be that bad during off peak times.

I just got the name and number of this person:
Tee Time Golf Cart Rental - Kenny - 407.276.0809.

I just called him (at 9:30 PM Disney time) and he answered. I thought I would get a voicemail and get a callback the next day. He said he leaves his phone on 24/7 just in-case anyone has a problem. I guess he proved that just now. He delivers any time (even weekends), and charges about $225/week. I'm going to use him rather than the FtW cart. I'll post remarks after my trip.
