What makes Disney’s Ft. Wilderness Campground better than any other ordinary campground? Other than the fact that is of course Disney owned, Ft. Wilderness has a factor that many other campgrounds will never have: clean comfort stations.

What’s a comfort station? At Disney’s Ft. Wilderness, comfort stations are within walking range from all campsites. Here is where you can do laundry, use the restroom, take a shower, use the payphone, get some ice, and even check out the days events at Ft. Wilderness.

Whether you are an experienced camper or you have been on a few trips with your family, the public restrooms and laundry are typically unmaintained, unsanitary, and disgusting. At Ft. Wilderness, however, you will never have to worry about the unsanitary conditions because their bathrooms are cleaned several times daily, are rarely ever crowded, and very clean. I can honestly say from personal experience after staying at Ft. Wilderness several times during my lifetime that I have never walked into the public and been unimpressed with their conditions. Not only are these well maintained conditions visually appealing, but they will also prevent the spread of disease among the hundreds of campsites at Disney’s Ft. Wilderness. If you ever want to have a comfortable, clean, and fun camping experience in a tent, cabin, or trailer, visit Ft. Wilderness for a wild time!

The comfort stations are so nice and clean that I intentionally do not have bathroom facilities in my pop ups. They have never been dirty or sub-standard on any of my visits.

They are very nice and a big reason for choosing Disney for camping over anywhere else. I've never seen bathrooms this nice or this clean.
