I'm on vacation... (6/6)

Funny thing is that I have internet and strong connection at that but no cell service at all... not totally disconnected but I feel like I'm in a different country all the way up here in Cheboygan (very tip of Michigan). I tipped the car wash people and my mom said "thats probably the first tip they have ever received"... just different everything... some construction guys here working on my moms house were complaining about the heat and I'm not kidding, it was 76 degrees at the time... heck, it's like 60 out right now... brrrrrrr!

I'm debating (purple will understand) on switching from my "verizon dsl" to "verizon fios"...new fiber optic a gazillion time faster....allegedly, if you blink, the site is already up and waiting....don't know if I want the expense though.

I love being wireless. We had 2 kids (you all know the scam), come by, selling "magazines to win a trip to Europe"...well as I always say (julieb can attest)...with my husband, you can't bull$h!t a bull$h!tter....and he played them for about an hour, while I'm googling their "company name" and come up with a bunch of dirt on them....they couldn't get down my stairs fast enough (we have an elevated cape cod house). Needless to say, I began wondering if they were going to come back and rob us...but they never did, and I suspect they'll stay out of Hainesport for fear of Mr. Kennedy

I'm back... anyone feel like giving me the forums "catch up" or weather report? You know, come to think of it we should have a "catch up" report every month for those that don't visit n a daily basis.

I'm counting the days - economy or not!
