I've always been fascinated by the thought of Disney World having it's own little airport. I've read about the STOL port next to the Magic Kingdom parking lot and have known about it for as long as I have been doing this site but never really did any research until recently when I found these pictures and scans which I think are pretty interesting.     This is the type of plane they used.  Funny bit of trivia, when Walt's plane was brought to Hollywood Studios they have to land it on World Drive, not the STOL port.  |

It might be a rough landing now. The current Google Map shot looks like it's a parking lot of some sort.

The area has several temporary buildings and lots of construction storage on it. I also want to know if the grooves that would play zippie do da are still there (or ever were). |
