Back by popular demand, The LEGO Movie Weekend festivities will return to LEGOLAND Florida every weekend in March starting Mar. 8, bringing back scavenger hunts, photo opportunities as well as new family fun with a chance to help transform Miniland USA’s New York City into the famous Bricksburg.

    No instructions are needed here, The LEGO Movie Weekends in March will feature an all out takeover of Miniland USA’s New York City and model builders need the help of park guests to transform this city into Bricksburg, home of the movie’s hero, Emmet. While LEGOLAND Florida model builders add iconic LEGO models from “The LEGO Movie” each weekend, park guests will have the chance to build alongside them and use their imaginations to create their own model that will live on and be added to the city to be transformed into Bricksburg over the four week event.

     “The LEGO Movie” Weekend at LEGOLAND Florida includes the following activities:

    • New! The LEGO Movie Take Over of Miniland’s New York City – Miniland USA
      Guests can use their imagination to build their own unique LEGO model to help LEGOLAND Florida Master Model Builders transform Miniland USA’s New York City into Emmet’s home town, Bricksburg. Master Model Builders will add iconic LEGO Bricksburg Models each weekend such as:

    It’s all glitz and glamour as the beloved LEGO® Friends - Olivia, Andrea, Stephanie, Emma and Mia – return to LEGOLAND® Florida to host a weekend of fabulous fun Feb. 15-16. The third annual LEGO Friends Weekend is a daytime party geared to girls ages 2 to 12. This razzle-dazzle event puts girls in the spotlight and lets them celebrate their individuality with a chance to walk the pink carpet, build LEGO creations with Olivia and sing like a rock star with Andrea.

    • Strike a Glamour Pose on the Pink Carpet with Emma, Stephanie and Andrea – Market Restaurant Plaza, 10:00am-12:00pm
      Strut down the pink carpet and show off your unique style and fashion for LEGO Friends Emma, Stephanie and Andrea. They are so excited to meet you. Smile for the paparazzi as they capture a photo of you and your friends.
    • Girls Just Wanna Build Bash with Olivia – Fun Town Theatre Plaza, 10:00am-5:00pm
      Olivia and LEGOLAND Model Builder are building a giant cupcake and need your help. Stop by to see how much fun building with friends can be!
    • Rising Star Sing-a-Along with Andrea – Miniland USA Stage, 12:00pm and 3:00pm
      Andrea is looking for super star singers! Showcase your singing voice during this 30 minute karaoke sessions. Sign up at the park, spots are limited.
    • Mia’s Animal Scavenger Hunt – Miniland Water Fall, 10:00am-6:00pm

    • Best Friends Build Competition - Imagination Zone, 10:00am-5:00pm

      Test your video game skills and play the new LEGO Friends video game.

      • Stephanie's Surprise Party - 10:45am and 12:45pm - When Emma, Olivia, Andrea and Mia plan a surprise party for Stephanie's birthday, they soon discover it's not easy keeping a secret from Stephanie.
      • Dolphin Cruise - 11:45am and 1:45pm - The LEGO Friends have a science project to find a way to help dolphins in trouble.

      It’s time to party like a star! At 5:00pm, all of the LEGO Friends will join the party to teach you dance moves from their music videos.

    Florida celebrates the launch of the first-ever, full length theatrical LEGO® adventure, “The LEGO® MovieTM”, with a movie-themed weekend in the park on Feb. 8 and 9. Guests can head to their local theatre to watch “The LEGO Movie,” opening nationwide on Friday, February 7, and then come to LEGOLAND Florida to see LEGO come to life amidst more than 50 rides, shows and attractions and special movie-themed fun all geared for families with children ages 2 to 12.

    LEGOLAND® Florida salutes the men and women serving in the United States Armed Forces with the continuation of Military Appreciation Days throughout 2014. As an appreciation for their continued service, all active duty military personnel including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reservists are now entitled to free single day admission to LEGOLAND Florida and the LEGOLAND Water Park (open seasonally). Specifically geared for families with children ages 2 to 12, LEGOLAND Florida also offers substantial savings for family and friends of military personnel so all can enjoy the more than 50 rides, shows, attractions and the newest expansion, The LEGO World of Chima presented by Cartoon Network featuring an interactive family water ride, The Quest for CHI.

    To redeem their free admission ticket, active duty military personnel should present their military identification card to LEGOLAND Florida’s ticket window the day they plan to visit. Family and friends of military personnel also receive substantial discounts on admission tickets and should make purchases in advance through participating military base ticket offices.

    Today, LEGOLAND Florida General Manager Adrian Jones officially announced the park’s much anticipated LEGOLAND Hotel will open in 2015. The announcement was made alongside community leaders with a ceremonial groundbreaking moment at the site where the hotel will be built, directly to the left of LEGOLAND Florida’s entrance, just steps from Lake Eloise.


    "The opening of a LEGOLAND Hotel will transition LEGOLAND Florida from a single-day visit theme park to a multi-day resort destination," said Jones. "This will serve as a catalyst for future economic development in Polk County."

    Welcoming guests with a multicolored exterior and entrance, the four-story LEGOLAND Hotel will immerse families with young children in the world of LEGO, as an extension of the vibrant and interactive theme park experience. Created to bring children’s imaginations to life, the LEGO-themed hotel will feature 152 brightly colored and highly themed rooms and suites, LEGO décor; interactive play areas; a pool and a restaurant.

    LEGOLAND Florida Hotel will add 250 construction-related jobs during the construction, and another 250 jobs to its employee base to staff the new hotel upon completion.

    This will be the fifth LEGOLAND Hotel in the world joining LEGOLAND California, LEGOLAND Windsor and LEGOLAND Billund hotels. LEGOLAND Malaysia Hotel will soon open its doors.

    At LEGOLAND Florida, families enjoy more than 50 rides, shows, attractions, a water park and the all-new LEGO World of Chima presented by Cartoon Network. At the World of Chima, the whole family can board an interactive splash battle ride, The Quest for CHI, and kid’s can splash and play in Cragger’s Swamp and race handheld rip-chord powered vehicles at the Speedorz Arena.
